DaShawn Key (number 17) of the Brennan Bears tries to escape Cedar Park players during a high school football game held in the Alamodome. My lens of choice is the Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VRI. The 300mm lens is the standard for sports photography, and you don’t know what you’re missing until you tried one. I bought mine in 2010 off eBay because I had hopes and dreams that went beyond my 8-5 job. This lens has not disappointed me as it has taken my photography down a new path. This lens is used for a wide variety of events, from football, baseball, cycling to even basketball. It also comes in handy for news and editorial photography as well.
